Mellby Gård
20 August 2024
This fall, Mellby Gård's Deputy CEO Thomas Gustafsson will gradually step down from his operational duties within Mellby Gård. Instead, he will become a senior advisor and continue as the chairman of the board for both Kappahl and Duni Group.
As of January 2025, Thomas Gustafsson will transition to a role as a senior advisor to Mellby Gård. This means that Thomas Gustafsson will continue his board positions for Kappahl and Duni Group but step down from his board positions at Aros Kapital and Oscar Jacobson. After the turn of the year, Thomas Gustafsson will also leave the borad of Mellby Gård AB.
- The upcoming reduction in his responsibilities is at Thomas's initiative, but we will still have the privilege of working together and benefiting from Thomas's knowledge and commitment, albeit in a new role. I am also pleased that we will continue to have Thomas at the helm of two of our largest companies - Kappahl and Duni Group, says Johan Andersson, CEO of Mellby Gård.
Thomas Gustafsson has been an important part of Mellby Gård and the group's success for many years. Initially as CEO of Brämhults, which became an exceptionally successful venture, and then in important board roles such as chairman of Smarteyes and board member of Duni Group. In the latter, he also served as CEO for five years and thereafter, and continuing, as chairman of the board. Additionally, his excellent work as chairman and board member of companies such as Kappahl, Oscar Jacobson, and Aros Kapital is noteworthy. Finally, his significant contributions as a board member of the parent company Mellby Gård AB should also be mentioned.
- Thomas has been involved in shaping the group's overall strategy over the past 5-10 years. I want to extend a big thank you to Thomas from us in the family, from the board, and from our employees at Mellby Gård. At the same time, I look forward to our continued work together, concludes Johan Andersson.
