Lärargalan (teachers’ gala) – for a better Future through better teachers

Lärargalan aims to recognize and highlight role models in the profession. Since 2016, Lärargalan has presented the award for Sweden’s best teachers annually and is now an important organization and platform for recognising and supporting the profession.

IVA – Key partnership between academia, research, business and politics

IVA is an independent academy focused on expanding the exchange between research, business and politics to ensure positive community development. With its approximately 1,300 elected Swedish and international members, IVA represents a diversity of expertise.

Teach for Sweden – for children’s right to their own future

Teach for Sweden helps skilled graduates take steps to become highly sought-after, qualified teachers through a two-year leadership program in collaboration with Luleå University of Technology. The Foundation endeavours to recruit people from different backgrounds and with a variety of professional experiences to create a teaching force that reflects the diversity in society. 

Chalmers master teacher project aims to address the teacher shortage

Since 2011, Chalmers University of Technology has been working to reduce the current shortage of teachers through the ‘Learning and Leadership’ master’s program. Its ambition is to train 30 new teachers each year. 

World’s first research center for cluster headaches

In early 2023 the Mellby Gård Foundation and Karolinska Institutet (KI) launched the world’s first research center for cluster headaches, which are also known as Horton’s cephalalgia. The Foundation donated SEK 34.3 million to KI to fund the research for the next seven years.
